My cultural surroundings

Q First, select three locations from your everyday life, and record the aesthetic qualities of those locations. You should write two to three paragraphs (five to seven sentences each) for each location. This should include the following: What is the basic identification of the space? (office, café, street, bedroom, or other location) What are the visual qualities, such as colors, shapes, clothing, architecture, artworks, objects, people, and other visible components of the physical space? What are the auditory qualities, such as background noise, music, voices, natural world, and other things you can hear? What other physical sensations do you get from the space, such as temperature, climate, and tangible feelings? How would you describe the overall experience – meaning, how does it make you feel internally, or emotionally? What about your personal experiences and cultural background might make you experience these locations the way you do? Then, consider someone from the culture you have been researching for your Final Project. How might this person experience the three spaces you’ve experienced, but in a different way? Why might their aesthetic experience differ from your own? Can it be the same?

It goes without saying that our productivity levels are highly affected by our surroundings and a bustling office environment can certainly work wonders for us. Here, I would like to mention about the Astrolabs office space located in Jumeirah Lake Towers. This is indeed a soothing place to work especially with the bustling surroundings of a metropolis such as Dubai. This very place boasts of fine architectural evidence and Dubai in recent years has emerged as the go-to place for investors and currently, it is being touted as the next silicon valley of the east. People here are pretty warm and receptive and it is absolutely fun working with them.
